Following on from 25 years of real estate experience during which time she has owned and managed real estate agencies gaining a wide range of experience, selling rural, residential and commercial properties as well as businesses, Sally jumped at the opportunity in 2017 to become a full-time business broker, specialising mainly in Motels and other accommodation businesses.
Sally has had over 25 years of owning and operating motels and hospitality businesses, as well as having a tourist retail shop for 4 years. She has worked for some time in health related businesses, having completed an apprenticeship in a pharmacy on leaving school, and worked as a receptionist in various hospital departments both in London and New Zealand. Now with her husband being in a rest home, she has gained considerable knowledge in the operation of this very specialised type of business.
Having worked in industries where people come first Sally can relate to people from all walks of life and is adept at using her past business experience and skills to advise and guide clients making the transition as stress-free and as enjoyable as possible.
Whenever possible Sally attends the motel ladies’ monthly lunches and also meetings with the accommodation sector of Hospitality NZ and follows all their news items to keep up with and understand current trends in the industry.
Sally considers it a very important part of her work to spend a lot of her time sharing her knowledge and experience with vendors and buyers as they travel through the process of selling or buying a business.
