Recognised as an ABC Business Sales Platinum High Achiever in both FY2025 and FY2026, I specialise in the confidential sale of import, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and FMCG businesses throughout New Zealand, typically in the $1 million to $10 million+ range, including more complex mid-market transactions. This includes acting as co-advisor on the firm’s largest completed transaction in FY2026, contributing directly to its successful completion.
Having built and successfully exited my own businesses, I understand first-hand the commitment, risk and reward that come with business ownership. Before becoming a business broker, I spent more than twenty years building, acquiring, operating and growing businesses in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. My experience spans wholesale distribution, retail, franchising and e-commerce, providing practical insight into the realities of ownership, growth, and exit preparation.
Having experienced business ownership from start-up through to successful exit, I understand what buyers look for, how value is created, and how to position a business to generate competitive buyer interest and achieve the best possible outcome. This enables me to engage confidently with both owner-operators and sophisticated buyers, guiding vendors through every stage of the sale process.
Prior to joining ABC Business Sales, I was Director of Retail Operations for adidas New Zealand, where I led large teams, managed national operations, and drove commercial performance. Earlier in my career, I was also involved in a management buy-out in the United Kingdom, further strengthening my understanding of acquisitions, growth, and ownership transitions.
My specialist focus is on import, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and FMCG businesses. These sectors have distinct value drivers including supplier relationships, inventory management, distribution channels, customer concentration, and working capital. Understanding these fundamentals allows me to position businesses effectively, attract qualified buyers, and support stronger commercial outcomes.
