A record 4,832 Confidentiality Agreements were signed in the two-months from April through May 2025 — an 11% increase on last year’s record-setting result. Buyer interest remains high, driven by returning confidence, investor interest, and immigration influence.
At the same time, new listings dropped 11% compared to the same period in 2024, continuing a trend of business owners waiting for stronger financial performance before going to market. This reduced supply is intensifying competition.
The volume of completed deals is growing. A total of 89 businesses sold during April–May — up 15% year-on-year — the highest figure ABC has recorded for this period.
With an average of 39 active buyers for every new listing, sellers are in a strong position to achieve competitive results — especially those with clean financials, solid systems, and realistic expectations.
